Elections are conducted locally, regionally, statewide and nationally under the supervision of the Louisiana Department of Elections and Louisiana Secretary of State.  Local candidates qualify at the Clerk's Office in accordance with the schedules and regulations provided by law.

Election results are consolidated, compiled and transmitted by the Clerk of Court to the Secretary of State on election night.
